I am truly excited to announce that Nathalie Kalbach will return to teach us another of her amazing art journaling workshops. This weekend long workshop will have you creating journals with ease and style!  I invite you to take a look at the details.....

Join Nathalie for a 2 1/2 day Art Journaling Class with a big focus on technique and color.  This is a start-to-finish class where you will build a unique and colorful art journal from scratch and bind it all together in the end.  Starting with blank white paper, we will fill those pages using a variety of mixed media techniques including mono printing, image transfers, mixing stencils and stamps, collage and the creation of colorful backgrounds.  We will add vibrant splashes of color throughout using acrylic paints, markers, wax bars, watercolor and inks.  I will show you my favorite tips and tricks to finish up art journal pages and finally an easy way to bind your art journal together to complete the creation.  Embrace your personal style and let's make a splash!

Workshop Fee has been reduced from $335 to $320

Your workshop fees includes 90% of the supplies and the paper needed to create your journal.  Nathalie will be sharing a good supply of all of her stamps by Rubber Moon, stencils by Stencil Girl, acrylic inks, watercolors, wax bars, markers & Magic Foam.

February Classes

February 2018
Class Schedule!

Our new class schedule debuted on Saturday during Demo Day.  Lisa has really done a bang up job bringing you the best cards and projects ever.  She's responsible for Art Journaling Saturday in February too and I think it's stunning.  Chris Mack will be teaching her Paper Marbling class too and she has a few new tricks up her sleeve for this class.  Can't wait!

Our FREE Make 'n Take was created from stamps by Impression Obsession and everyone enjoyed making this beauty.

We used a card kit designed by Impression Obsession and after stamping the adorable images (created by Lindsay Ostrom!) we colored them in with Clean Color brush markers by Zig.  Awesome recipe for cute and perfect if you still need to write a few thank you notes for those Christmas presents.

We are having a Valentine Swap too and there are a few packets left.  You can run by any day this week to pick up one.  The swaps are soooo much fun!

Weekly Hours

New Store Hours

The times, they are a changin' as it has been said.....  and our store hours will be changing up a bit.  Some have asked for evening hours and we have been unofficially open late on Thusdays for several years.  Lisa and I have changing family obligations and need an extra hour here and there.  That being said, we will be testing a new set of store hours.  Here's what the schedule will look like for February and March.  If it works, we'll stick to it and if not, we'll go back to our original hours.

Beginning Tuesday, February 6

Tuesdays & Wednesdays
11 am to 5 pm

Thursdays
10 am to 8 pm

Fridays
11 am to 5 pm

Saturdays
11 am to 4 pm

Demo Day Saturday
10 am to 4 pm

You can see that Demo Day and Class day hours will remain the same as they have always been.  Art Journaling Saturday will remain as it is (10 am session and 2 pm session).  We will continue to be closed to the public during Guest Artist workshops.

Adjustments in life are inevitable for everyone.  I hope this new schedule will not cause you any inconvenience.  I have always been willing to stay late for anyone and will continue to do so if you will just call and let me know you are on the way.

Thank you soooooo much for your continued support.  Lisa and I really appreciate each and every one of you.

See you soon and remember to .....

New Class

Two Things

Happy 2018!  It's a new year and we just finished the first week of it.  I have 2 things to share with you....  One, a quick and fun report on Art Journaling Saturday and Lisa's class addition to January.....

First things first....

Due the slow arrival of Valentine stamps and papers, Lisa was one class shy of a full schedule for January on Demo Day in December.  I am please to report that the last class of January is now on display and ready for enrollment.  This class is sooooooo wonderful...  Here are the details!

Valentines to "Die-cut" For
Thursday, January 25
10:30 am OR 6 pm
$30

Take 2 parts Impression Obsession, 1 part Penny Black and 1 part Concord & 9th and what do you get?  Valentines to "die cut" for!  We discovered a little late in the season an fabulous border die set by Concord & 9th that will cut a wonderful envelope edge cut or make a load of different sized envelope cut border ribbons.  Add some stamps and basic paper and voila'! you have some very special and creative cards.  You will really enjoy the versatility of this die set and of course the heart image stamps by Impression Obsession combine well with sentiment stamps from Penny Black.

Enrollment is now open for this great class so be sure to call ASAP.

And the second thing is.....  Art Journaling Saturday.  I really stuck my neck out on the page creation for this one.  Abstract art isn't everyone's favorite but since art journaling is all about exploring and growing your art skills, I decided to jump in with both feet.  Lisa and I were joined by 23 brave souls as I shared my process to create this interesting art journal piece.

I did not take any pictures of what others created, but let me assure you the results were amazing.   If you are interested in joining us in the future, I hope you'll sign up when the next one rolls around in February.  It is an amazingly fun journey and I know you would have lots of fun.

That's it for now so until next post, remember to.....
